Happy on Huntington |
A blog of happy things |
as you can see, I was feeling a bit Boston-y (/am at work on the computer and don’t feel like reading). I’ve been neglecting the city lately, like for awhile now, actually. Summer was pretty good, and I guess I did a some cool things in fall, like go to the Boston Tattoo Convention, The Ring boxing club, the Paradise, visit my friend at Suffolk… but I haven’t been out in awhile. Well, out of my comfort zone, anyway. This morning I actually walked home from the Garden, which is a significant walk, and I stopped in the Common and made friends with this tree
and that was nice I guess. I needed that walk. But I basically stay within the same areas almost every time I go out. Back Bay, the Common, BU area, a bit of downtown and (the same areas of) the North End… I don’t know, I need to branch out!! Go somewhere I’ve never been. Even, I don’t know, maybe splurge and go eat somewhere I’ve never been (I’ve got a few vegan places I’ve been needing to check out with one of my friends, but she lives outside the city now and is reluctant to venture one…) I’m just bored!! And it’s sad, because I love Boston, but right now it’s kind of just there, I’m there, but we aren’t really connected. I’m not feeling a part of it. Or perhaps I’m feeling too much a part of it.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m willing to go anywhere the T can take me, including commuter rail if it’s somewhere really good. I just need something lively to do!!
